The hype surrounding the Galaxy S4 is ramping up every day. And EA pushed that hype meter a little further to the right today by announcing that it has optimized 14 mobile games specifically for the Galaxy S4.

All 14 of those games will be available the day the Galaxy S4 launches. And yes, like all EA mobile games, you’ll probably have to pay for them.

Optimization for the Galaxy S4 is important because it has a massive 1080p 5-inch screen as well as a powerful new processor that holds 8 1.6Ghz cores. By taking advantage of both of these features, EA could push the boundaries of mobile gaming to new limits.

Although the full list of GS4 optimized games hasn’t been released yet, here are some of the games we know will be optimized for the GS4 at launch:

-Plants vs. Zombies

-Real Racing 3

-Monopoly

-The Simpsons: Tapped Out

-Bejeweled Blitz

-Tetris Blitz

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see what mobile gaming will hold in its future. 8 1.6Ghz cores and a 5-inch 1080p screen is a lot of potential. How long before we start playing resource-intensive games like Grand Theft Auto IV (or even, dare we say, GTA V) on our mobiles?
