Well most of us for sure have lost an android device. If you happen you lost one, then keep reading. You might be able to get your android device back. Nowadays, there are a lot of phone recovery or anti-theft apps available on the Google Play Store which really help you recover in case you lost your phone or get stolen. But the sad thing is, usually, many people just get to know such apps after it got lost or stolen, so it's definitely too late for that. And more saddening to know that your device is gone for good. Tracking your Android device after it got lost or stolen through Android Device Manager Lucky you if you have read this right away, there's still a chance you  can find your lost valuable. In fact, there are a few ways to remote control and track your phone even if you haven’t installed a recovery app in your phone  before it vanished. But let's tackle on this for now. So let's get down to the ways you can get your Android back to it's rightful owner.   Tracking  lost Android via Android Device Manager or Google Find My Device What you'll need:
  • Your device should be connected with your Google account.
  • Your device should have an access to the internet.
  • Allowed Android Device Manager (ADM) is enabled to locate your device (turned on by default). This can changed in the Google Settings app.
  • Allowed or enabled ADM to lock your device and erase its data (turned off by default).
  The Android Device Manager is also called the Google Find My Device and is the Google’s official and easy-to-use tool in tracking lost Android devices such as phone or tablet. The best thing about it is that you don’t need to install an app or anything so you can be able to track your Android devices. The only thing needed is that your device should be connected to your Google account, turned on and connected to the internet. Then all you need to do once the prior steps are all st, is visit the Android Device Manager while being logged into your Google Account. Once the site is loaded it automatically tries to track down your phone. If you have several Android devices registered into your Google account, make sure the right one is chosen in the dropdown menu. In an updated one, Google implemented some of ADM’s features into their search results page which means that you’re now be able to quickly locate any registered Android device right from the search results. Simply  by using the search phrase “where is my phone”, Google then displays a little map above the search results in which it will try to locate and find your device. Once found it in the given map, you can let it ring by clicking on “Ring” at the bottom left. Although this seems to make it more convenient to find your device faster, it doesn't offer you all the options you get unless you get the full version of Android Device Manager. By using ADM, you are able to track your registered Android devices, let your phone ring and wipe your phone’s data which has to be done manually. Aside from that, ADM doesn’t further offer more options to remote control your phone. Still hopes are high that Google keeps improving it and introduces more helpful features, such as  taking pictures in case it got stolen and you want to take a snapshot of the person who took it-that's more precise and simpler but perfectly effective and on point. Just in case you can't find a laptop around when you lose your device, you can use someone else’s Android phone to track it though. Instead of using the mobile browser, you may as well use the Android Device Manager app directly. If the other phone you're doesn’t have it, simply download it shortly. Then you can sign in using the guest mode and your Google account credentials. And now you should be able to track your lost android device, let it ring or wipe its data as well. Did you find your device this way? If not, there could be several reasons. It could be that your device isn't connected to the internet or is turned off. In that case, just keep trying.  But if it's stolen, probably the device's internet connectio is disconncted or is turned off. So in that case, neither Android Device Manager nor any other tracking tool will be able to locate your lost device, since it’s necessary to be logged into your Google Account in order to track it.
